Semavi ("the app") is a personal guidance app built around angel tarot and astrology. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it.

You need an account to use the app. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, we receive:

If you leave the gender field blank, we may infer it from your name (see section 3.2). You can change or reject that guess at any time.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LOCATION: If you choose to use your device location, the coordinates are turned into a city name ON YOUR PHONE ("Istanbul, Türkiye") and only that text is stored. Latitude and longitude are never sent anywhere - not to us, not to the AI provider. You can also type your city by hand without granting location access.
IMPORTANT: Your journal notes and saved readings are stored ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY. They are not sent to our servers. If you switch phones, this data does not travel with you.
If you tap the microphone on the "Ask" screen, the question you speak is turned into text.
The free version shows Google AdMob ads. PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS SEE NO ADS AT ALL - the moment a subscription is active the advertising layer shuts down completely and no request reaches the ad network.
While ads are active, AdMob may access:
APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY: iOS asks separately for permission to track you across other companies' apps. You do NOT have to grant it - without it the app works exactly the same, the ads are simply not personalised. You can withdraw it any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
IF YOU ARE IN EUROPE: Google's consent form (UMP) is shown for advertising cookies and personalisation. You can change your choice from inside the app.

Beyond this the app contains no analytics SDK; we do not collect your contacts, photos, or health data.
Firebase may keep technical logs (IP address, error records, request timestamps) required to operate the service.

We DO NOT SELL your data. Apart from the providers listed below we share it only with the providers required to run the app.

For the gender inference feature, your name is additionally sent to OpenAI.

When you ask by voice and your device has no on-device model for that language, the audio is sent to Apple's speech recognition service. Apple processes it under its own privacy policy. We do not store the audio.

When you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, that provider knows the sign-in took place. Your behaviour inside the app is not shared with them.
OpenAI's and Google's servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Your data is therefore transferred internationally. Such transfers are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the providers' data processing agreements.
When you delete your account, all of the above is permanently erased.
You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app, without contacting anyone:

All network traffic is encrypted with TLS. Firestore access is restricted by rules under which each user can reach only their own data. Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication; we neither see nor store your password.
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you and the competent authorities within the period required by applicable law.
Semavi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. In the European Union this age limit may be as high as 16 depending on your country. If you discover that your child has created an account without permission, write to us and we will delete it.
This policy may be updated. When a significant change is made, we will show a notice inside the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
